Many of you have seen my fantasy artwork throughout the past few years, many of you have not...some of you have even watched me work on it! It's been a lot of fun creating this world of magic and mystery. I would like to introduce, or re-introduce, my digital fantasy art series now as an official collection... Maidens of the Otherworld.

The Otherworld is what the ancient Celts believed to be a realm on the same plane as our own, accessible to curious minds only at certain times of year when the veils between the worlds are thin. It is also thought to be where faeries dwell...joyful, sometimes mischievous creatures that occasionally enter our world from their subterranean homes in caves and under hills. This time of year is supposedly the most active for otherworldy beings to roam the Earth, since the veils between the worlds are thinnest on All Soul's Eve. On this night, faeries are said to come through the veil into our world to frolic and play tricks on humans. To ward off these pesky creatures, people would leave a bowl of milk and some honey on their doorstep for them to feast on. The faeries were pleased with this and would move along without playing tricks on anyone in the household. Trick, or Treat?
